The MRE's next meeting is on Thursday, September 15. Our speaker will be Keri Stephens from The Garage Group presenting 5 Truths and Hacks for Bringing Startup Thinking to Big Companies.

Over the past five years, we’ve been translating, experimenting and learning real time to help big cos survive, stay relevant and thrive in the face of this crazy new world. After reflecting on what we’ve been learning, we’ve compiled a list of five truths and five corresponding hacks we believe can help kickstart big cos to truly innovate and grow more like startups. We leverage these hacks with big cos as part of our processes at The Garage Group.

The Garage Group is a new kind of strategy firm that enables corporates to innovate and grow like startups. We work with established brands and big companies on strategy, ideation and insights. Our clients include Fortune 1,000 companies like Nike, Procter and Gamble, Pepsico, Kellogg’s, Mars Petcare, Abbott Nutrition, Heinz, and Staples, and brands like Charmin, Pringles, Nutro, PediaSure and Yankee Candle.

Representing our team for this session are Vice President of Breakthrough Ideas Keri Stephens and Associate Innovation & Growth Strategist Taylor Burchett. Keri brings nine years of qualitative and quantitative market research experience with Procter & Gamble, including recent insight and campaign development work for the highly acclaimed #likeagirl campaign. Taylor has over five years of qualitative market research experience across CPG, Retail, B2B, Healthcare, Kids/Teens, and Restaurant/QSR on both a national and global scale.

This event is open to all professionals and students seeking a forum to network and discuss topics relevant to area researchers. The event will be held from 11:30am – 1:00pm on Thursday, July 21 at the Mid Ohio Regional Planning Commission (MORPC) office at 111 Liberty Street, Suite 100, Columbus Ohio 43215.
